You’ll need a scanner to put the system into Brake Service Mode before you start.
Skip that, and you might end up blowing out the caliper piston… and replacing a caliper isn’t cheap.
That’s exactly what happened with the vehicle in the photo.
The caliper had to be replaced before we could even finish the job and bleed the system.
We made a house call to get it roadworthy enough to bring back to the shop and wrap it up the right way.
Doing it yourself isn’t a bad thing — in fact, sometimes it’s a great thing.
But only if you’ve got the right tools, equipment, and know-how.
